Anirudh Singh: A Rising Star
11-year-old Anirudh Singh is a bright, confident student with a strong command of English and a flair for the stage. From lead roles in annual performances to active participation in STEM fairs, he has consistently impressed with his articulation and enthusiasm. Recognising his talent, he was awarded a scholarship under Pragati’s SSC scheme in Grade 5 and secured admission to SRF Vidyalaya, Gurugram, for the 2025–26 session.
Anirudh has consistently topped his class, a testament to his dedication and hard work. His father, a housekeeping staff member, and his homemaker mother have always prioritised education. Despite limited formal schooling, his father remains deeply involved in Anirudh’s academic journey. With his family’s support and the opportunities provided by Pragati and SRF Vidyalaya, Anirudh is well on his way to a promising future.
Lekhni’s Journey: A Dream Finds Wings
Lekhni’s story began in a small village, where her parents, Hitesh and Sangeeta, worked hard to make ends meet. Hoping for a better future, the family moved to Gurgaon, where Hitesh became a guard and Sangeeta a housemaid.
At age 9, Lekhni joined Pragati. Though she struggled at first, the warmth and care of her teachers helped her flourish. As she approached grade 5, thoughts of middle school brought both hope and worry due to financial strain. Her class teacher, seeing her potential, gently encouraged her father to support her education. With extra coaching and unwavering guidance, Lekhni earned admission to SRF.
Her journey took a brighter turn when Girls First Foundation stepped in to sponsor her education. Continued support from Pragati reassured her parents and anchored their trust. Today, Lekhni dreams boldly. Her younger brother Ankush is now in nursery at Pragati, and the family walks this path with renewed faith and hope.

Marina’s Journey of Grit, Guidance, and Growth
Marina, the daughter of a single mother joined Pragati as a young child. This keen learner was ably encouraged by her teachers in academics and also to dream big. At one stage her mother wanted to withdraw her from school owing to financial constraint and extreme domestic challenges. Marina is full of gratitude for her teachers at Pragati whose encouragement ,support and counselling prevented Marina from being a school dropout. This determined child made the most of every opportunity and went on to complete her graduation and MBA. She is currently working as Senior General Manager in a leading infrastructure company. Shivnath’s Story of Transformation
Shivnath walked in to Pragati as a young child with his elder sister in pursuit of education staying away from his parents in the village. Young Shivnath was eager to learn and took keen interest in studies. Able guidance and early exposure to computers in school helped Shivnath develop interest in computers and an aspiration to achieve an IT degree from a premier institute. With strong determination and focus , Shivnath appeared for the JEE entrance and cleared the same. Financial challenges not withstanding, he got admission in IIT Madras for a four year degree course in Data Science and Application. Shivnath remain grounded and full of gratitude for all his teachers. His journey from a remote village in UP to the portals of IIT Madras is an incredible story of grit and determination.
